Dr. Sylvia Beyer will be retiring after 34 amazing years! She was honored by Dean John Skalbeck, College of Natural and Health Sciences and bestowed Emeritus status by her department and Chancellor Akey. We celebrated the career of Dr. Emmanuel O. Otu, the founding Dean of the College of Natural and Health Sciences last night in the University Ballroom. With a long list of accomplishments over his 35 year career, he can now add Emeritus Status to his list. Members of the chemistry department proudly bestowed this upon Dr. Otu. From left to right, Dr. Gary Wood, Dr. Tsun-Mei Chang, Dr. Emmanuel Otu, Dr. Lori Allen, Dr. John Skalbeck, Dean, and Dr. Ilirian Dhimitruka. Our is growing! Parkside received 5,000+ undergraduate applications for the Fall 2025 semester, a 57% increase in applications received over the last year. With excellent academic programs, knowledgeable faculty, and abundant career opportunities available to students, Parkside’s community stands out.
