Happy Sigma Senior Friday!💟
Katie Kristanko is a senior majoring in Sports Medicine with a Concentration in Athletic Training. She is moving to Illinois and attending Northern Illinois University to pursue a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training!
Katie joined in the spring of 2022. The positions she held during her time at Tri Sigma were Sisterhood chair twice, assistant VP of New Member Education twice, Awards chair, Vice President of New Member Education, Director of Chapter Growth, Internal Philanthropy manager, External Relations manager, and Alumnae Relations Manager.
Her favorite memories are big little reveals and planning recruitment! From when she was a little to becoming a big three times to planning multiple reveals. Nothing beats the songs that turn into bonds between bigs and littles and the reactions when the bigs are revealed. Katie will forever hold onto the memory of leading our incredible chapter through recruitment. What she will miss most is the friendships she has made and the lessons she has learned over the past five years. Traveling and seeing new places with the people she loves most. Whether it’s a 20-hour road trip to Texas to visit Addie’s hometown, going to Columbus to hear Morgan Wallen live, a quick trip to New York or West Virginia with Jen, or going to Chicago to hear Carlie’s big little reveal song live.
Advice Katie leaves is:
Take advantage of every opportunity that is presented to you! You truly get out of this experience what you put into it. She is forever changed for the better because of this chapter, and she hopes everyone can have the same opportunity! Step out of your comfort zone, sign up to help with events, and take on leadership roles. Always remember that even though change can be scary, the beauty of growth is so worth it!
