This week, our Kent State University College of Nursing sophomore students gathered for our inaugural Clinical Pledge Ceremony, marking an exciting milestone as they officially began the professional nursing sequence of their education. 🩺💙💛⚡

Before heading into their first clinical rotations, students came together to celebrate this important step in their nursing journey. Each clinical group was recognized on stage, students recited the Clinical Pledge, participated in a blessing of the hands, and captured the moment with a class photo.

We were honored to welcome Brandon Ramcheran, a 2025 Kent State University ABSN graduate, as our guest speaker. Brandon shared words of encouragement and inspiration as our students embark on this next chapter of their nursing education.

📍 The VR Lab has moved! Now located on the third floor of the library, Room 332, the Kent State University College of Nursing VR Lab will have sophomore-level students begin using the lab this semester.

Because students are fully immersed in a virtual hospital room, they are unable to see their actual surroundings. The floor markings serve as safety boundaries to help prevent students from walking into one another while using VR.

👕 Yellow shirts identify VR Lab staff, who are available to assist students with technology questions and support.

The lab will be open several days each week, with appointments required.

We’re excited to welcome students into the new VR Lab space! 🥽
