🎶 Kilgore College welcomes Chris Clifton as the new Director of Bands and Instrumental Music.

A proud Kilgore College Ranger Band alumnus and 2003 graduate, Mr. Clifton is excited to help lead the next chapter of the KC Band program while bringing back the traditional military marching style to the Kilgore Ranger Band.

Kilgore College is Hiring!

Kilgore College is currently seeking an Assistant Professor for the Surgical Technology program. This full-time faculty position will help prepare students for success through hands-on instruction, student mentorship, and real-world surgical technology training.

Qualified applicants should be student-oriented, have well-rounded clinical experience, and have at least three years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST). An Associate’s Degree is preferred.

We’re looking for passionate professionals who are committed to student success and workforce education in East Texas.

📚 KC Longview Campus Store Update:

The Longview (Hendrix) Campus Store will move to a reduced operating schedule during select term start dates. The store will now only be open for two weeks at the start of the Fall & Spring semesters, and one week at the start of Fall II & Spring II terms.

While in-store hours will be limited, students and staff can still easily access campus store items through online ordering and locker delivery in the Hendrix Building Student Lounge. Orders placed before 4 p.m. the previous day will be fulfilled the following morning.

Kilgore College is proud to receive a $354,491 JET Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to support the continued growth of our HVAC-R program.

The grant will fund new state-of-the-art training equipment, giving students hands-on experience with modern industry technology, preparing them for high-demand careers across East Texas.

Thank you to the Texas Workforce Commission, Commissioner Connett, and our industry partners for investing in the future of KC students!

Nine East Texas schools received these TWC grants today totaling $2,524,300 to support career and technical education.

Kilgore College was proud to host an IT Industry Exchange today in Longview, bringing together college leadership, Computer Information Technology (CIT) faculty and business and industry partners for meaningful discussion about the future of AI and the IT workforce.

The discussion-focused event, sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF), gave industry representatives the opportunity to share insights on emerging technology trends, AI and the skills and competencies most critical for tomorrow’s workforce, and how KC's CIT programs can better prepare students for real-world success.

The exchange reflects KC’s ongoing commitment to building strong partnerships with industry leaders to ensure academic programs remain responsive, relevant and aligned with workforce needs.

The Kilgore College Surgical Technology Program is preparing to send four students on a surgical mission trip to Guatemala in July 2026 in partnership with Refuge International. Students will assist surgical teams, provide humanitarian support, and earn valuable clinical hours toward graduation requirements.

Community donations are being sought to help cover airfare, lodging, and meals for participating students.
