🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Kilgore College!

Today, we recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the people who help keep our communities, campuses, and country moving forward. We hope you have a safe and relaxing Labor Day.

KC will be closed Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of Labor Day. Classes and offices will resume Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Kilgore College is honored to welcome Michael Hingson as part of our upcoming Remembering 9/11: Reflections and Conversations events.

On September 11, 2001, Michael, who is blind, escaped the World Trade Center from the 78th floor with his guide dog, Roselle. His remarkable story of survival, trust, courage, and teamwork has inspired audiences around the world.

Join us next Friday, September 11th, as Michael shares his experience and the lessons he has carried with him since that day. There will be a book signing afterwards featuring his newest book.

A little splinting, stabilizing, and teamwork! 🚑

Our EMT students have been busy practicing splinting and immobilization techniques, including C-collars, backboards, and proper patient stabilization. These skills help students learn how to safely assess, stabilize, and move patients while minimizing the risk of further injury.

Every scenario gives them another opportunity to build confidence, improve communication, and get more comfortable putting their skills into practice.!

🚑 Hands-on learning in action!

EMT Class #28 has been busy putting their knowledge into practice with hands-on skills and patient care scenarios throughout the week. They wrapped up with practice focused on bleeding control, wound packing, and tourniquet application. 🩸🩹

Building confidence, sharpening skills, and learning to work as a team along the way! 💪🚑
