Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded at Richmond College, now the University of Richmond, on November 1, 1901, on the Cardinal Principles: Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. Today, the Fraternity has grown to more than 262,000 lifetime members, including 14,500 undergraduates on 257 campuses in the United States. SigEp is currently the largest fraternity in terms of undergraduate enrollment. Member d

evelopment is done through our revolutionary Balanced Man Program. We believe that shared experiences and continual growth of our minds and bodies makes us live a full life. We will challenge you to excel in academics, athletics, and leadership. College should be one of the best times of your life! Members have many opportunities to get out, have fun, and strengthen their life-long bonds of brotherhood. Some of the activities include , campouts, road trips, intramural sports, and more! The Sigma Phi Epsilon-RI Beta chapter is one of the larger fixtures on campus. With a massive house at the top of campus for this year, and then taking back our original house currently used as the Diversity House in Fraternity Circle, Sig Ep is re-establishing its dominance on campus. Our chapter was the 187th founded Sig Ep chapter, originally making a presence on URI's campus in 1965. Other ways our fraternity is represented on campus:

-Rugby team
-Crew team
-IFC
-Scribe

Fact: Over 85% of all Fortune 500 CEO’s were Greek in college, and a recent study by the Department of Health and Welfare shows a correlation between being Greek and positive graduation rates.
