If any faculty member needs help on uploading grades to e-Campus, here is some helpful information:
Export Grades for Upload to e-Campus at https://uri.makekb.com/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=188, which deals with the file format and export/import process itself
Prepare Grades for Export from Brightspace to e-Campus at https://uri.makekb.com/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=187, which deals with preparing e-Campus letter grades inside Brightspace

Both articles are linked to each other. The most logical one to refer people to first is Export Grades for Upload to e-Campus, as anyone who is uploading needs to upload, but may or may not need to prep their grades inside Brightspace, preferring to use spreadsheets instead. I have predominantly used the spreadsheet method.

Uploading Brightspace grades into e-Campus requires a .csv file with data rows of the form below. The first line contains the field names, and all subsequent lines contain the data, separated by commas, and encapsulated between # characters at each end, as shown here.

On Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 7:00 a.m. we will be transitioning the credentials used to login to your Jabber service from the current LDAP service to the Azure or AD credentials currently used for SSO (Single Sign-On.) This move is a needed step in the consolidation of all of your URI credentials into the Single Sign-On process.

What Does This Mean?

You will need to use the same credentials you currently use to access the Office 365 portal in order to login to your Jabber Service. Please verify that you can access the Office 365 portal at portal.office.com

If you can currently access the portal, then no action is needed on your part other than using the same password for logging into Jabber.

If you have never accessed the Office 365 portal, please refer to this page in order to establish access: https://web.uri.edu/its/office-365/

If you encounter issues with this access, please contact the IT Service Desk at [email protected] or via phone at 874-4357.

Please note that the Jabber telephony service will NOT be available during the upcoming URI Data Center shutdown.

The data center shutdown is a long-planned power upgrade for the entire campus data center services located in Tyler Hall

What does this mean?
After 5pm on Friday 7/10/2020 you will not be able to connect to your jabber phone service remotely until Approximately 5pm on Sunday 7/12.

While the on-campus phone system will remain operational remote connectivity will not be possible during this time.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
