A little late, but last Sunday Rhody topped Fairfield 28-18 at home but fell to Uconn. Felt great to wrestle in front of a home crowd. Thanks for all the support!

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY.... Wrestling is back in the Ocean State! Sunday February 11th URI Wrestling returns to campus to square off against Fairfield and UCONN Wrestling in Rhody's first home tri-meet in a LONG time. Gonna be a HUGE day for Rhody wrestling. We want to see ALL our friends and family there to help support this big day. Details as follows
Where: Mackal Field House, Court 4,
Cost: FREE ADMISSION
Time: Wrestling begins at 1pm

Had our first practice with live wrestling today. The season is just around the corner and we couldn't be more excited!

This year, the URI Wrestling team will be sending some talented wrestlers to Texas to compete in the Collegiate Club National Tournament for the first time in over a decade!

We are very excited for this opportunity, but it also comes with a great financial burden. In total, we must raise $3,000 to make the trip. So, we are asking for any help that we can receive. This weekend, we traveled to UNH to compete at the New England Championship Tournament. Here are the results:

Jason Wojcik - 3rd place at 157 lbs
Tony Messina - 2nd place at 174 lbs
Steven Ascola - 4th place at 197 lbs
