Dearest Pharmily,

It is with profound sadness that we share the disheartening news that one of our students, Caden Crow, has passed away.

A valued member of our Pharmily, Caden was set to complete his first year at the College Station campus of the Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy. In his brief time with us, he touched so many hearts and aimed to improve the health of his community by pursuing his professional pharmacy degree. He was known for his generosity, humor, and intelligence. We will all miss him.

Many of you have asked how we can respect the life of Caden Crow. We have received permission from the Crow family to share this information with all of you.

Services for Caden will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Brenham, Texas:
Brenham Memorial Chapel
2300 Stringer Street
Brenham, TX 77833

Visitation is from 9am to 11am.
Celebration of Life follows at 11am.

Tributes to Caden may be posted for the family here: https://www.brenhammemorialchapel.com/obituaries/caden-dean-crow. We will be making plans with the Crow family on adding Caden to the College of Pharmacy Memorial Wall with an unveiling ceremony. Further, he will be honored during Silver Taps in September 2026, and he will also be recognized during Aggie Muster in April 2027.

We know this is a difficult time, but as we have done so many times before, we will again come together as a pharmily and keep Cadenโ€™s memory alive.

25 years ago, in May of 2001, two lawmakers, Sen. Carlos Truan and Rep. Irma Rangel won legislative approval of a measure to create a school of pharmacy at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. It was described by supporters as the first state-funded professional school in South Texas.

So how did that original measure eventually turn into the Texas A&M University Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy?

We invite you to learn more about our history and upcoming 20th celebration events here: https://pharmacy.tamu.edu/about/20yearanniversary.html
