✨ “Trust Though Convenient” — APDZ 451 Design Project ✨

Team APDZ 451:
• Yulia Lisitsyna (Team Lead)
• Thida Bun
• Ilona Porfirova

📌 Project Overview

“Trust Though Convenient” is a design initiative developed by Team APDZ 451. The team is creating a digital kiosk platform for REI stores to help customers quickly find products, access information, and navigate services. The aim is to strengthen customer trust and improve the in-store shopping experience by blending the convenience of online tools with the physical retail environment.

💡 Design Question

How might an in-store kiosk make shopping at REI easier, more personalized, and more connected to the outdoor community?

🧭 Problem Statement (Metaphor)

The current REI shopping experience can feel like navigating a large city with only a paper map—especially when guidance is limited.
The proposed kiosk functions like a guiding system, offering clear direction to products, helpful details, service routes, and multilingual support.

🎨 About the Course: APDZ 451 — Design Project Iteration

APDZ 451 introduces students to iterative, research-driven design processes. Through human-centered design and creative practice, students explore, test, and refine ideas to develop practical and meaningful design solutions.
