Read a book about a villain / anti-hero for September’s Mini-Book Club theme “Everyone Loves a Villain”.

This week’s staff recommendation is "Assistant to the Villain" by Hannah Nicole Maehrer. Inspired by her viral TikTok series, this novel is the first in a fantasy workplace slowburn grumpy/sunshine series. Follow Evie Sage as she struggles to hold down a job and not fall in love with her villainous boss. If you like cozy romantasy books with a lot of banter, you’ll love this book!

Happy midweek bulldogs and bulldog friends and family!

It's Wednesday, and we here at Pickler Memorial Library hope you're full of fun plans for Labor Day Weekend!

Just as a reminder, the library's hours will be adjusted for the weekend- we will be closing at 5pm on Friday the 4th, closed Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th, and opening late on Monday the 7th, at 1:00pm. The offices will also be closed on Monday.

Have a wonderful weekend and make sure to stay hydrated and cool in this heat!

It's hot outside today, Pickler friends and family! Way too hot!

We're saying goodbye to August with a bang and that means YOU should come over to the library to hang! Cool off with a book, or a movie, or pick up a painting for your wall or dorm!

Welcome to the beginning of the week and the end of August- and the beginning of the third week of classes!

We here at Pickler hope our new freshmen are settling in just fine and our returning scholars are as happy to be back on campus as we are to see them back!

To collect your prize, bring a filled out summer reading bookmark to the library circulation desk before closing on Monday, August 31. (Extra bookmarks are available if you lost yours over the summer!)
