cialized accreditation for business and accounting programs at the bachelors, masters, and doctoral levels. Truman's first-time pass rate on the 2016 CPA exam ranked second in the nation for medium-sized programs. Their first-time pass rate ranked 15th out of the 858 institutions with 10 or more reported candidates. Truman candidates passed 81.1% of exam sections taken with an average score of 81.2%, topping the national first-time pass rate of 54.4%. Truman is consistently among the top ten percent in performance on the CPA exam.

Gerry Ready ('70) was named the Department's Business Alumna of the Year at our annual Recognition Ceremony. Gerry has been a generous supporter of the university through her time and resources. She supports numerous foundation scholarships and is a member of the Joseph Baldwin Society, the President’s Circle, and the John R. Kirk Society. Truman students recently wrapped up the Boeing TruLeaders program with an incredible capstone field trip to Boeing, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and Greater St. Louis, Inc.

TruLeaders is a program for first-year students with leadership ambitions and connects students with top organizations. During this trip, students heard from several executives, gained career insight, and explored internship opportunities.

The trip capped off a semester of activities where students built up their resumes and networking skills.
