✨ Honors Faculty Spotlight: Sarah Binion ✨

Congratulations to Sarah Binion, an Honors faculty member who completed a Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI) program last year and has now been selected for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Academy. This year-long program supports faculty inquiry into how students learn and how teaching strategies shape their success.

Sarah is especially interested in exploring first-year student engagement and how AI can productively support—not replace—the human-centered work at the core of the Honors curriculum.

We believe great teaching is a lifelong pursuit, and we’re proud to have faculty like Sarah who model the same growth mindset we ask of our students every day. 🧡

Introducing our first Honors Alum Spotlight: Baylee Baron! 🎓✨

A May 2026 graduate with a major in Biochemistry & Cellular & Molecular Biology and a minor in Public Health, Baylee is now a medical student at UT Health Sciences.

Through an Honors research fellowship and grant opportunity during her first year, Baylee began a research journey that led to experiences on campus, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

We are proud to celebrate all that Baylee will accomplish in medicine. 🧡
