As Vols make plans to descend up Rocky Top for Homecoming, let us pause to remember one familiar face we won’t get to see this year. Brother Greg A. Ferby, affectionately known as “DJ Ferby Ferb,” transitioned from his earthly life this past weekend. Brother Ferby was a Winter 1988 initiate of the Kappa Chi Chapter. He was known for being a legendary DJ back in his day, a hardworking community member, family member and friend who never met a stranger. Brother Ferby participated in several Kappa Chi chapter reunions over the years, including last year’s 45th year anniversary. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and all whom he impacted. May he rest in peace.
