Yesterday, as part of their “boot camp” experiences, first year AuD students participated in an ear mold lab in our temporary spaces at Cherokee Mills. Practice opportunities like these are valuable in our new students’ preparation for direct patient care.

UPDATE
We are working diligently to address every part of our program that was impacted by recent flooding at the UT Conference Center.

Toward that goal, related to clinical services:

•The care of all our patients and their families remains important to us. We have resumed clinical care for a limited number of patients with time-sensitive or critical clinical needs.

•We have identified a new location for our clinic and expect to fully re-open there by mid-September, while the Conference Center is being renovated.

•We are communicating with patients about their appointments for the coming weeks.

We sincerely appreciate the patience and understanding of our patients, their families, and community health partners during this unexpected disruption. We look forward to welcoming you back and resuming your care as soon as possible.

We were excited to welcome Dr. Hasan Saleh from UT’s Speech and Audiology program to speak with the Downtown Knoxville Sertoma Club about his clinical research and work with hearing aids, including how different technologies and features can impact speech understanding, sound quality, and user preferences.

We’re also excited to officially welcome Dr. Saleh as a new member of the Downtown Knoxville Sertoma Club! We’re grateful to have him as part of our club and look forward to learning from him and working together in the community.
