🌏 TCE will debut a three-week study abroad program in Japan in the summer of 2027. Students will learn about lean manufacturing principles, visit leading companies, and receive cultural experiences. Students in this year’s Governor’s School for the Sciences and Engineering (GSSE) recently had the opportunity to engage in an informal Q&A session with Dr. Ming Jin from ISE at UT!

Through conversations like these, GSSE participants gain valuable insight into cutting-edge research, academic pathways, and real-world engineering challenges while connecting with faculty leaders in their fields. Experiences such as this help inspire Tennessee’s brightest young minds as they explore future opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
