POSE stands for People of Style and Education. It is an official organization at the University of Tennessee, which means they are partially funded through the University. POSE is a fairly new organization compared to most. Since their founding in 2008, they have grown to become one of the elite groups on campus when it comes to fashion, "swagger", and most importantly academics! It is comprised o
f 25 new members every year! Try outs are held at the beginning of fall semester, where simple model skills are asked to be performed. They are committed to the University of Tennessee and are here to serve the Knoxville community as well where they can. POSE participates in several fashion shows and workshops on campus during the year. ME4UT's Jump Minority Trip, BCPC Annual Stomp Feast, Alpha Kappa Alpha Fashion Show and Minority Achievement's Legend Lecture are just to name a few. Every spring POSE puts on their own fashion show, filled with different designers and clothes from local venues all over Knoxville. This year's fashion show will be held at the Relix Theatre on April 12th 2014 at 7:00 pm. POSE is a very diverse group of young students who have a passion and drive for learning more about the fashion industry and who seek to better their modeling skills as well.
