The Dance Society is a student run organization at the University of Tennessee aimed at promoting dance and dance education throughout the UT campus and surrounding Knoxville area. Students used to be able to major in dance at UT; however, there was a slow but eventual phase out of the entire dance program at UT. Unwilling to let the spirit of dance die, the Dance Society took on the task of prese
rving dance on campus, providing students with both technique classes and performance opportunities. BOSS Dance Company is a product of the Dance Society. This dance company is an auditioned group of very talented student dancers who have all come together to share their passion for dance. Our BOSS Dance Company annual Spring showcase is our way of sharing this passion with others. Current executive officers (2020-2021):
