This is a fun video about the history of the Sunsphere, featuring our friend Don Shell. Don was not only the architect of the Sunsphere, but also most of the construction on the Johnson University campus since the 1980s (EAC, Richardson, the dorms, Gally, library addition, and our new Center for the Sciences that will be completed this summer).

A golden reminder of big dreams, the Sunsphere still watches over Knoxville like a souvenir from the future we once imagined.

Calling all ministers, elders, and church leaders!

On February 26, we’re hosting the Church Leadership Conference at Johnson University: a time to learn from and fellowship with fellow ministry leaders on a beautiful college campus.

This year’s key speakers are Dr. Richard Clark, former VP of Advancement at Johnson University; Todd Brown, former Lead Pastor at Bridge Christian Church in Virginia; and Chad Brown, Director of Ministry at Schuber Mitchell Homes.

Our theme for the day is "𝐑𝐞-𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲". We’ll learn how to understand, harness, and equip business leaders in our congregation for Christ. Our sessions will include topics such as:

• Three Tensions Creating a Gap Between Sunday and Monday
• How to Form a Biblical Theology of Work
• How to Unleash Workers to Fulfill Your Church’s Mission
• 20 Ways to Engage Marketplace Worker
