๐Ÿ“ธ 40 years of service, and a whole lot of Kodiak memories.

Last month, the Kodiak community came together at Kodiak College for a homecoming celebration honoring Gary Stevens and his 40 years of service to Alaska. Friends, family, colleagues, and familiar faces gathered to share stories, catch up, and celebrate a milestone with someone who has been part of Alaskaโ€™s story for decades.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, helped bring the event together, and continues to make Kodiak College such a special part of our community. We loved seeing everyone come together, and we hope these photos bring back a few good memories!

๐Ÿ“ท The full photo gallery is here! Take a look, tag someone you recognize, and share your favorite memories from the evening.

Today, we celebrate Indigenous peoples around the world and honor the cultures, knowledge, and traditions that continue to shape the communities we call home.

Here in Kodiak, we are especially proud to recognize the Alutiiq/Sugpiaq people and the generations who continue to carry their language, traditions, and stories forward. Weโ€™re grateful for the Indigenous students, educators, alumni, and community members who are part of the Kodiak College community.

Fall looks different everywhere. ๐Ÿ‚

One of the best things about living in Alaska is that no two places experience the seasons quite the same way.

In Kodiak, the hills are changing colors, the air has a little more bite, and we're all keeping one eye on the forecast.

For now, we'll take the fall colors while we can get them.

What does fall look like where you are?

From garden to table! ๐Ÿฅ”๐ŸŒฑ

Our campus harvest is complete! Students and volunteers spent time digging up fresh potatoes grown right here on campus last Friday. Last week, they picked out garlic as well. Hands-on learning takes many forms at Kodiak College - and sometimes it means getting your hands dirty in the soil!

Join us this Friday, Oct 9th at noon for our Potato Bar Feast!
