Dr. Erin Kraal, Physical Sciences, and her research student, Maria Clark, a sophomore chemistry major, visited one of the 5th grade science classes at Fleetwood Area Middle School to share their experience working with the Mars Rover. During the presentation, Dr. Kraal and Ms. Clark discussed scientists’ interest in exploring the planetary surface of Mars, engaged students with an activity on geochemistry, and answered a robust set of student questions about science and space.
