BIOGRAPHY
I am a successful college admissions counselor, specializing in Ivy League, public, private, liberal arts and local state colleges. As a former college professor and academic counselor with 34 years of experience, my areas of specialization are writing, reading comprehension, humanities, and academic readiness. My expertise is the admissions essay.
I guide students throughout the admissions process. I am hands on and work one-on-one with each student, I see each student's application through to the end and remain current, and connected with their needs.
I focus on making my students proficient writers. I enable the academic and emotional needs of students and assist them in developing personal success strategies and education and life skills.
I have a Master of Science Degree in Counseling and a Doctoral Degree in Higher Education. I have extensive experience in college, career, personal, academic, and remedial counseling. I am a published author, currently working on a second novel and a featured columnist with the La Canada Valley Sun Newspaper. I am a former Marine Officer with service in Viet Nam and Washington D.C.
