UC San Diego African American Studies The African American Studies Program at the UC San Diego examines African American life in the U.S. through interdisciplinary, Diasporic frameworks.

The concerns and interests of African Americans have set the stage for the advancement of political, educational, social, and cultural movements in the U.S. and the world. The African American Studies Program at UC San Diego is an interdisciplinary field of study that examines and leads to an understanding of the experiences of African Americans.

We are thrilled to invite you to a special film screening event, “From Palestine to LA: Ripples of Rebellion Past, Present and Future.” Join us for an evening exploring the powerful connections between global and local struggles for liberation through the lens of cinema.
Hosted by the International House Global Forum series and co-sponsored by BDAAS, Ethnic Studies, Literature, and the Program for the Study of Religion, the event will feature two compelling films:
