Thank You!
On behalf of the Southern Maryland Regional Training Center (SMRTC) and the Firefighter II students, we would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department Company 3 and the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department Company 1 for sending your rescue units to SMRTC on December 22 in support of the Firefighter II Auto Extrication portion of the class.
Simply put—you showed up, you stepped up, and you delivered.
Having real-world apparatus on site makes a tremendous difference in student learning. Your willingness to commit resources, personnel, and time ensured that our students received hands-on, realistic training that goes far beyond the classroom. That kind of support cannot be overstated and never goes unnoticed.
Both departments once again demonstrated what it means to invest in the future of the fire and rescue service in Southern Maryland. Your continued commitment to training and education helps shape safer, more competent firefighters and rescuers for our communities.
Thank you for answering the call—not to an emergency, but to education, mentorship, and service. We truly appreciate your partnership and support and look forward to working together again in the future.
With sincere appreciation and respect,
SMRTC
