From student DJ to major stages, Steven Santana is coming back to where it all started.

A University of La Verne alumnus and former scholarship recipient, Santana will return to campus as the DJ for the 2026 Scholarship Gala, bringing his journey full circle while supporting the next generation of students.

Now working with iHeartMedia, Santana continues to create unforgettable experiences, but says La Verne is where everything began.

Yesterday, I joined higher education leaders in Washington, D.C. for NAICU’s 50 Years of Impact celebration, reflecting on five decades of advocacy for independent colleges and universities.

Today, we continue that work on Advocacy Day, lifting up the voices of our students and institutions and advocating for the future of higher education.
