Tomorrow night join Shades of Essence and BSU in celebrating the Essence of Black Womanhood! Come learn about the contributions African American women have made to our society and enjoy a documentary by Professor Valerie Cummings on the HIV/AIDS epidemic and how it effects our community and our women. A panel discussion will follow the film. The event will be held in the Campus Center Ballroom A at 9pm, snacks will be provided!

Here are this weeks events for the celebration of Dr. King at a glance starting with Dr. Rose' sermon tonight in Dailey Theatre! Please email our President, Bradlee Johnson, at [email protected] if you have questions about registering/ volunteering for the day of service on Monday- please be in Sneaky Park at 7:30am- and email her/comment if you're interested in participating in the Candlelight Vigil on Tuesday. Come out this Wednesday evening, Jan. 20th, at 5pm and hear Dr. Goodloe speak at ULV about his book "King Maker" and apply Dr. King's leadership lessons to all walks of life. Dr. Goodloe was the first African American to be awarded a Ph.D from Dallas Baptist University and has focused his research on leadership & the legacy of Dr. King. The reception will follow his speech at 7pm.
