**long post** Hi y'all! Joe, former VP and Secretary here! I wanted to let everyone know about a great opportunity to help traditionally marginalized folks throughout Thurston, Lewis, and Mason Counties! Each year, the Community Foundation of South Puget Sound puts on an online-giving campaign called Give Local (spsgives.org) where local nonprofits gather in one spot to inspire giving and support from community members. I have the pleasure of working on this campaign and wanted to highlight two organizations that are dear to my heart.

First is the Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund and their one-stop service center, the Chehalis Tribal Financial Empowerment Center (CTFEC) project. From their campaign profile; "The CTFEC...will [provide] services to educate tribal members to manage their finances and improve their credit status, build their capacity to secure a career that will help them support their families, start a new business on the reservation, grow their business, secure better housing, and receive any additional social services support that may be needed to enable them to lead healthy, productive drug-free lifestyles." This is a great opportunity for many Tribal members in the area and I want to see this project flourish. If you would like to donate or learn more, visit http://c-fund.us/n2w today!

The second is Pierce County AIDS Foundation (PCAF) and their mission to end the stigma and spread of HIV throughout the South Puget Sound region. From their campaign profile: "PCAF, through education and service, prevents HIV infection, assists persons affected by HIV/AIDS, addresses related health problems, and combats associated stigma and discrimination." As many know, HIV/AIDS continues to have tragically high negative impacts on the q***r community. To help change this, please consider donating to or learning more about PCAF at http://c-fund.us/n3a today!

Thank you for your support of the club, the q***r community, and all marginalized folks! Love you all! 🖤💜💙💚💛🧡❤️

We need to step up and out of our comfort zones to really challenge homophobia and racism. We need allies and advocates to take the next step towards being an accomplice because lives are literally on the line.

While we are waiting for people to grow out of homophobia, kids are losing their lives.

There's no final "answer" to identity. It's an ever-changing path of self-exploration in which we never arrive at the end. There will ups and downs but we just keep on moving to be the best person we can be.

In this installment of our advice column !Hola Papi!, John Paul Brammer dives into the hairy pressure of creating a label for yourself.
