Genealogy & Newspaper Librarian Dusty Gorman presents 30 county-specific guides to help everyone research genealogy, from seasoned sleuths to those just beginning their journey. Resources featured include city and telephone directories, newspapers, map and property research, and much more. As of July 1st, the Washington State Library can no longer fund the Genealogy & Newspaper Librarian position. Work on the remaining nine counties is paused indefinitely, with future publication dates unknown. We hope that everyone will continue using this invaluable resource through the Washington State Library’s website.

In observance of the upcoming Easter break, the O'Grady library will be closed Good Friday, April 18th through Easter Monday, April 21st.

We will resume regular hours (7:30am-9pm) on Tuesday, April 22nd.

In light of Dr. Brownsberger’s generous gift of a half-day off for staff this Friday, March 14th, the library will be closing tomorrow at 1 pm and will reopen on Sunday, March 16th at 1 pm.
