Congratulations to former UL NOMAS member and officer Breanna Booker on receiving the Black Women in Architecture Award, one of four awards offered by the Desiree V. Cooper Memorial Scholarship Foundation! We are so proud of you! ✊🏾

Please join us in congratulating Breanna Booker on receiving the Black Women in Architecture Award, one of four awards offered by the Desiree V. Cooper Memorial Scholarship Foundation. This award will assist Breanna in attaining one of her many goals – completing her exams and getting her license.

“The Desiree V. Cooper (DVC) Memorial Scholarship Foundation seeks to honor the life and legacy of Desiree V. Cooper by championing the things she was passionate about in her professional career and personal endeavors: providing continual service to her communities and encouraging minorities and women in the advancement of their careers in architecture.”

Congratulations to UL NOMAS graduate student member Thaddaus Perkins on being selected as a 2022 NOMA Foundation Fellow! The NOMA Foundation Fellowship is an 8-week internship that matches students and recent graduates with top architecture firms across the country. Selected fellows are compensated with a $22/hour salary ($7,040 total), $1,000 Travel Assistance/Relocation Stipend, and $1,000 Bonus Licensure Stipend upon achieving licensure within 5 years of completing the fellowship.

Thaddaus is the third UL NOMAS member to be awarded the fellowship in the 3-years that it has been established! He was matched with Multistudio (https://www.multi.studio/) and is completing his Fellowship virtually.
