With our first Preview Day of the fall semester approaching this Saturday, we are excited to introduce our 2026-2027 UL LIFE Program Student Ambassadors!

These students applied, interviewed, and were selected based on their outstanding performance in all program domain areas: Academics, Career, Independent Living, and Community skills.

They are so excited to share all their favorite parts about our university and program with potential new applicants! Please give them a big congratulations! 🎉

We’re Hiring for our UL LIFE Career Coordinator position!

Are you passionate about creating opportunities, building meaningful connections, and helping students discover their potential?

Our inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual and developmental disability is looking for a full-time Career Coordinator who is ready to make a difference one internship, one connection, and one student at a time.

In this role, you’ll:

-Build and maintain strong relationships with on- and off-campus internship sites as well as vocational rehabilitation services in and out of our state

-Help students explore their interests, strengths, areas of growth, and career goals

-Bring genuine care, encouragement, and a student-centered approach to your work

-Take initiative, think creatively, and seek out new opportunities and partnerships

-Be a team player who works collaboratively with other UL LIFE staff, graduate assistants, undergraduate mentors, and other community and campus stakeholders

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, compassionate, creative, relationship-oriented, and passionate about inclusive employment.

Happy ! 🎉 It’s October 1, which means National Disability Employment Awareness Month is here! This year’s theme, “Celebrating Value and Talent,” is a reminder of the skills, strengths, and contributions that people with intellectual disability bring to our workplaces and communities.

We are kicking off Homecoming Week with a good deed: beautifying campus! Until our first and second year students are placed for internship, they complete one volunteer event per month. This month, they wanted to help prep our swamp for the best week of the year. Congrats to Emma who earned 5 points for her cohort in the cohort Homecoming competition by picking up the most trash! 👏 Great job, students! 🧹❤️
