UL LIFE will be hosting a virtual Preview Day on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 11:00 AM/CT - 1:00 PM/CT!

Join us to hear more about our program and application process, as well as ask any questions you might have about college for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities!

This event is ideal for all potential new student applicants, their families, their school personnel including members of IEP teams/special education instructors, and/or vocational rehabilitation counselors.

Please note:
1. The Microsoft Teams meeting link will be sent out to all emails provided via the registration form on the Monday before virtual Preview Day takes place
2. We will be offering two in-person Preview Days that will take place on campus in fall of 2026 - these dates are to be announced soon!
3. Applications for the 2027-2028 academic year will be available in August of 2026, and will be due early December 2026.

SEPSEA Recap! ⏮️ UL LIFE staff enjoyed attending the Southeast Postsecondary Education Alliance conference last week in New Orleans! Staff and graduate assistants shared four different presentations, and learned from many incredible practitioners across the field. We can’t wait to put into practice everything we learned! 📝

Mary Hooks Baudoin, an alumnus and staff member in the Department of Accounting at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, has established a scholarship in honor of her daughter, Alexis "Lexi" Barbry, who passed away on April 14, 2026, at the age of 28.

The Alexis Barbry Non-Endowed Scholarship in UL LIFE was born from her family’s love and shaped by Lexi's courage. The scholarship will provide financial support to students enrolled in the UL LIFE (Learning Is For Everyone) Program, and Lexi’s memory will continue to uplift others.

Students in the UL LIFE Program were awarded Certificate of Achievements from the College of Education and Human Development. The UL LIFE Program offers a Basic 2-year or Advanced 4-year program for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Our graduates showed out with their academic skills one last time as UL LIFE students at their Reverse Career Fair yesterday afternoon! Students presented posters including their employment and volunteer experiences and shared their elevator pitch on why meaningful employment is important to them. We love seeing you shine, class of 2026!
