Student Orientation Staff: Where Students Become Leaders
Student Orientation Staff is the premiere student leadership group at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Selection to staff is extremely competitive, and the staff represents the best and brightest of our university. The Student Orientation Staff works to facilitate our Orientation programs, welcoming over 3,000 new students & parents

to campus each year. Members of the Student Orientation Staff participate in an intensive leadership development course during spring semester, designed to prepare them for their role as a member of the team and enhance their personal and team leadership skills. Members of our team develop skills in group problem solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, multicultural understanding, program planning, and team building. SOUL Camp: Service. SOUL Camp is a unique experiential transition program that supplements New Student Orientation. Camp is designed to provide you with the skills and networks to help you develop leadership skills and Ragin' Cajun spirit. Through a combination of a community service project, educational speakers, social activities, and interaction with faculty, staff, and upperclass student mentors, team building, and much more, students leave camp prepared to be an engaged member of our campus community. 🚨Weather Update 🚨

Please see the newest update from university officials for classes scheduled for Monday January 26th.

Emails have been sent to students with additional detail.

We hope everyone stays safe and dry during this winter weather.

Due to forecast weather conditions, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will transition to remote instruction and remote operations on Monday, Jan. 26.

On-campus dining will continue normal operations on Monday.

The Drop/Add period has been extended through Wednesday, Jan. 28.

The University will continue to monitor weather and road conditions. An update regarding plans for Tuesday, Jan. 27 will be shared by 6 p.m. Monday.
