Guys this is the agenda for tomorrow's meeting in case you can't make it. I'll have someone take minutes from the meeting and we will post and email them out later this week. Also if you plan to attend the meeting try to be there early because traffic tends to get bad in that area of town at 5:30pm.

Hello Brothers - here is exciting news about a fine young man named Mr. Ayden Mitchell Duvernay. He is the son the late Burton "Duv" Duvernay Gamma Phi 1993.

Ayden lives in Thibodeaux, LA and attends E.D. White HS. He is a sophomore and plays on the soccer team. He and his team are heading to the STATE playoffs this Thursday- a 1st in their school History! The Championship game is at 7:30pm in Tad Gormley stadium this Thursday night.

Ayden wants to attend LSU unless soccer takes him somewhere else. I have not gotten to meet him as a young man yet, only when he was a small child. His awesome mom Jennifer Fendrich Penuguy ( ULL PHI MU) and his amazing Grandmother Barbara Duvernay keep me updated. "He LOVES golf!!! He does not like to sit still pretty much ever! He likes a lot of action , He is super kind hearted and very likeable! He makes really good grades and has an interest in physical therapy. His 16th birthday is coming up on April 10 and he will be a legal driver!! Mitch is fixing up Duv's old car for him but for some reason he really wants a jeep😉!! " B. Duvernay

As you can see from the picture and character descriptions, the Apple didn't not fall far from the tree! I ask that all you brothers of Gamma Phi say prayers for Ayden and his ED White Soccer team as they go for the state title. I also ask that you send a word of encouragement on behalf of brother Duv to Aydens mom and share some pictures of his father for him to see. Most importantly - We must as brothers be sure to let Duv's legacy live on.

Guys,

I hope everyone had a great & safe Mardi Gras this year. Now that it is over, it is time to start getting a full roster of teams for the tournament. The last 2 years have been a great success but that will only continue if we have your support again this year. The tournament will again be held at the Wetlands on April 1st with a shotgun start at 12:30. We will have food, prizes and plenty of drinks. And even if you are not interested or unavailable to play, please consider giving a sponsorship donation. I also ask that if you are going to play, please email me your info so that I can keep track of all teams. Registration forms and checks will still be mailed to James Bayard which is listed at the bottom of the registration form.
Please forward this to all other Gamma Phi’s, I have around 40 on my email list but obviously there are many more that we need to reach. Last year’s event was over 100 Gamma Phi’s, which is amazing considering where the tournament was only 3 years ago. I look forward to hearing from you all and hope to see some emails for commitments to play.
