Big congratulations to our alumna, Elise Lambert, Ph.D.!

Texas State University’s Elise Lambert, a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Health Informatics and Information Management, has been selected as a 2026–2027 Fulbright U.S. Scholar to France!

The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program is one of academia’s most prestigious fellowship opportunities, supporting faculty and researchers as they teach, conduct research and build international collaborations.

A proud 2014 graduate of our Health Information Management program, Elise was also honored as a Diamond Alumni at our 75th Diamond Soiree.

We are so excited to receive over $1.5 million from the Rural Health Transformation Program through LDH to launch our 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲.

This program will increase clinical enrollment by 30 nursing students annually, strengthen retention and graduation rates, and provide hands-on rural clinical experiences that prepare future nurses to serve where they are needed most. Thanks so much to Secretary Bruce Greenstein and his amazing team for the support!
