Nothing beats seeing our students share a room with the folks helping to make their education possible.

Earlier this month, the Foundation for SoLAcc brought our Fall 2026 scholarship recipients, their families, and our generous donors together downtown. Between the proud hugs and students thanking their supporters face-to-face, the energy in the room showed just how much this community rallies behind student success.

Take a scroll through the photos from the afternoon, find your favorites, and help us congratulate our scholars in the comments! 💙

Ever wondered who tests the world around us before wheels go up or pipelines run?

Our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technology program at the Opelousas Campus prepares you for high-demand careers across manufacturing, construction, aerospace, and energy. Through hands-on training with ultrasonic, radiographic, and magnetic particle examinations, you learn how to inspect critical equipment before issues happen.

If you enjoy hands-on challenges and making sure things stay safe and sound, see what a day in the lab looks like.

A closer look at the momentum building across SoLAcc!

We recently welcomed Louisiana State Representative Annie Spell to SoLAcc to share the momentum building across our campuses. Rep. Spell met with college leadership to take a closer look at our growing programs, recent milestones, and our shared focus on regional career preparation.

During her time on campus, she also stopped by our Culinary Arts & Occupations department, catching our third-semester students in action as they prepped in the kitchen.

Visits like this keep our mission grounded in community support. Thank you, Rep. Spell, for spending time with us, seeing our classrooms at work, and championing our students as they prepare for rewarding careers right here in Acadiana!
