We are proud of these four doctoral scholars from Troup County School System. We remain thankful for the continued partnership with our local teachers and administrators.

Four Troup County School System employees recently made history as members of the inaugural doctoral cohort at LaGrange College, each earning a Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction. This milestone reflects a shared commitment to educational leadership, innovation, and excellence within TCSS.

Class of 2027 Elementary Education major Kendall Lewis has enjoyed serving with Launch Pad this semester. Along with Jaz Owens, they have gained experience and have learned so much while working with children and families through this early learning program.

We are proud to partner with the Callaway Foundation and United Way in this role. Troup County is blessed to have this program in our area! We are excited to see what next year brings.

Graduation Day for the Class of 2026!

For a quick jump back, let’s look at Signing Day 2024 and Signing Day 2026. This Saturday will be the final LC graduation for Dr. Don and Dr. Sharon. We are going to miss them tremendously! But first, we will celebrate them tomorrow!

Our junior Elementary Education majors were also recognized at our Education Department Honors Ceremony last week.

They are anxiously awaiting their placement details so they can start planning for yearlong student teaching next year.

During last week’s Education Department Honors Ceremony, our sophomore Elementary Education majors signed a canvas indicating their commitment to the study of teaching.

Our sophomores have already shown excellence in the classroom! During the ceremony, Riley Curtis and Lily Fulford signed the canvas. Due to the softball schedule, sophomores Kayla Helms and Emma Seymour were not able to attend our ceremony but did sign the canvas in our department.
