A major milestone for LCAD 🏗️

Last Friday, the LCAD community came together to sign the final beam before it was lifted into place during the topping out ceremony for our new Innovation Center.

With the steel framework in place, the 22,000-square-foot Innovation Center is taking shape as a hub for digital arts, hands-on learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This investment will expand creative opportunities and strengthen the connections that shape the future for LCAD students.

At LCAD, connections made in the classroom can lead to creative collaborations and opportunities long after graduation.

LCAD Graphic Design + Digital Media alumna Sophia Felger, Director of Communications + Design at Pacific Marine Mammal Center, reached out to Drawing + Painting alumni Jordan Tacker and Emma Crespo to paint a mural at PMMC designed by Chris Barela, International Zoo & Aquarium Design Consultant.

Jordan and Emma first met in a mural painting class at LCAD and have since worked as a team on multiple murals. From friendships formed in the classroom to alumni opening doors for one another, their stories highlight the lasting impact of the LCAD community. 🎨🦭✨
