A team of four students, McNeeseCodes, participated in the CareDeviAI Healthcare Innovative Hackathon and developed FrudgeCare AI.

FrudgeCare AI is a healthcare triage prototype that helps organize patient information for front desk staff, nurses, and providers. Patients enter symptoms once, and the system generates structured summaries and next steps for each role. The name, FrudgeCare AI, honors Janie Doucet Frugé, a McNeese alumna whose impact in healthcare inspired the project.

The team includes Prince Pudasaini, Rita Thapa Chhetri, David Chukwuemeka Okpo, and Solida Tan under the guidance of Dr. Jennifer Lavergne and Sophiya Aryal.

The project was built using synthetic patient data and it highlights how technology can be used to improve communication and workflow in healthcare.
