McNeese State University Graduate Nursing Program is launching a post-master's certificate
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Track — Launching Fall 2026

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our certificate offerings with the upcoming Family Nurse Practitioner Track, which will officially accept its inaugural cohort in Fall 2026. This program will provide a rigorous clinical and didactic framework for those seeking to transition into primary care, with a focus on health promotion and disease management for individuals and families across various community settings.

Because every Post-Master’s student brings a unique clinical and academic history, we do not believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach to education. Each student’s plan of study is determined through a formal Gap Analysis for individualized planning.

I am looking forward to this event! If you are a nursing graduate, come back and visit. There will be tours of the building, information on the latest developments with the McNeese College of Nursing & Health Professions, and plenty of opportunities for networking with our colleagues! PLUS it is Homecoming! There will be all sorts of things going on for Homecoming that day, starting with the McNeese Nursing Alumni gathering! It will be a day full of fun times!
