As we near the end of the term, we begin to look past final exams and set our sights on commencement. One special group of graduates in the coming terms are those completing their Associate of Science in Environmental Science Technology or our Bachelor of Applied Science in Water Resources Management from within Columbia Correctional Institution. The Second Chance Pell Program affords these inmates our post secondary degree opportunities and steers them toward a more positive future. The graduates of these programs are not just surviving upon release, but thriving. Unfortunately, the aid these students receive for tuition will not cover their graduation regalia. That's where you may come in...

All funds raised go directly to purchase caps/gowns ($55.90 per set) for graduates to wear during future graduation ceremonies. For online donations, there is a processing/convenience fee. However, the FGC Foundation will accept a personal check (no fee) that can be mailed to: FGC Foundation 149 SE College Place Lake City, FL 32025. Please be sure to note “Transformation Threads” on the check so it goes to the correct fundraiser. Tax-deductible letters are available on request. We're so excited about this renovation and to bring new life to the greenhouse on campus for our water resources, environmental science, and agribusiness programs!

🌱 Exciting Renovations Underway at FGC! 🌱
Big things are happening at Florida Gateway College—both greenhouses are getting incredible upgrades! The new polycarbonate paneling is just the beginning. These state-of-the-art spaces will soon feature:
🌱 Germination Center
🌊 Tidal Erosion Table
🌿 Living Pond & Irrigation Lab
🌾 New Planting Systems
These cutting-edge resources will enhance learning and innovation for our Horticulture, Environmental Science, Water Resources, and GLO programs.
Plus, classroom renovations are in progress with new technology, reverse osmosis systems, and more to support hands-on education.
