Student Success Center at Brazosport College Brazosport College is pleased to announce the opening of the Student Success Center in the Fall 2011 semester.

The Student Success Center exists to provide a number of support services aimed at assisting students in reaching their goals and achieving success, whether this means taking a few classes, earning a Certificate or Associates degree, or transferring to another college to earn a four-year degree. The Student Success Center is particularly interested in easing the transition to college. For some stu

dents this is a transition directly from high school and for others this may be a transition after serving time in the military, working, or raising a family. Regardless of students’ particular backgrounds, the Student Success Center is eager to embrace all students, both helping them learn and learning from them. In order to assist students throughout their college experience, the Student Success Center provides a variety of support services including Learning Frameworks, Supplemental Instruction (or SI), the Brazosport College Writing Center, the Brazosport College Math Center, other forms of tutoring, workshops, and orientation programs for new students. Students who take advantage of these services earn higher grades and stay in college longer.
