Earlier this year, CancerBank started its scholarship fund with a TopGolf Fundraiser, but that doesn't keep us from our main mission which is preventing Central Florida families from having to choose between cancer treatments and paying their bills.

The Poker Tournament is our flagship fundraiser and we are excited to be celebrating our 10th tournament this year. Sponsor and Player registration is now open at CancerBank.org/events.

Last but not least, we are honored to offer a CancerBank Scholarship to Reilly. He is graduating from Lake Mary High School with a 4.12 GPA. He will be attending Florida Southern College to pursue a degree in Nursing.

Reilly not only had to deal with a Cancer diagnosis for his mom at the beginning of this school year, but after a fall and a concussion scan, they identified that Reilly too had cancer. Even through this tough year, he has managed to keep a positive outlook, continue to excel in school, and stay active in bowling and his church.

In Reilly's words, his experience has been life altering. This year had him change his major to nursing so he can follow in his mom's footsteps and help people going through similar situations. We couldn't be more excited to support Reilly on his journey by offering him a $2500 CancerBank Scholarship.

Last Thursday Maizie stopped by to receive her CancerBank Scholarship. She is graduating from Oviedo Hogh School with a 3.94 GPA. She will be attending Ohio Dominican University to study Sports Science, play basketball, and pursue a profession in sports media.

In 2019, her mom was diagnosed with Lymphoma and Maizie, bring the oldest child stepped up to her with siblings and general household tasks. Even through it all, she continued to take honors and AP courses while maintaining her spot on the girls basketball team, National Honor Society, and volunteering as an assistant Middle School basketball coach.

Maizie has the drive to accomplish anything she puts her mind to and CancerBank is excited to support her and her family through a $2500 CancerBank Scholarship.
