Dear NUCA MMA Community,

We wish to inform you of a significant change regarding NUCA MMA 04. In response to recent updates from the Texas Athletic Commission, which now restrict the use of our standard protective gear, we have decided to relocate the event to ensure the highest standards of safety and competitive integrity for our athletes.

Event Rescheduling Details:
NUCA MMA 04 is now scheduled for November 15th, 2024, in Morgantown, West Virginia, where we previously hosted the successful NUCA 03. We have promptly informed our athletes of this change, and they are rigorously preparing for the November competition.

Commitment to Safety and Competition:
Our mission at NUCA MMA is to promote collegiate MMA in an environment that is safe and competitive. Adhering to our equipment standards is critical for this. We are in ongoing discussions with the Texas commission to find solutions that will allow us to return to Texas in early 2025. We appreciate the commission’s cooperative efforts in this endeavor.

Ticketing Information:
All ticket holders for the originally scheduled event in Houston have been personally notified, and full refunds are being issued. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and are grateful for your understanding and support.

We look forward to welcoming you to Morgantown and appreciate your continued support as we navigate these changes together.

Congratulations to Ian Brenstetter on graduating from the University of Pittsburgh this semester! 🎓⚡️

NUCA MMA is extremely proud and grateful for Ian’s efforts as both a competitor and coach for the . He was a warrior in the cage, leaving it all on the line with a 1-0 record. But his impact went far beyond his own fights.
As a coach, Ian helped guide the Panthers to an incredible 7 total victories across NUCA 2 and NUCA 3. His leadership and mentorship elevated the entire Pitt MMA program.

In his own words: “NUCA has given me the best amateur MMA experience I could ask for. I had an unforgettable time at NUCA 2 and NUCA 3 while getting to fight on a card with 6 of my friends and teammates from the University of Pittsburgh.”

While Ian will be moving on to a new role at UPMC’s financial department, his legacy with NUCA MMA is cemented. “I’m now going on to work for the UPMC financial department. All the best to NUCA, Pitt has got more killers on the way!”

Thank you Ian for your dedication to growing the sport of MMA at the collegiate level. The entire NUCA family wishes you nothing but success!

NUCA MMA 3 WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! 💥🏆

Morgantown, WV played host to our biggest event yet, and it delivered in truly epic fashion. We were blown away by the incredible talent and heart on display from elite college clubs like USC, WVU, Pitt, UNC, University of Houston, UPenn, Rutgers, and GCU.

Every single athlete left it ALL in the cage, showcasing their skills and unbreakable determination.
