☕ Connecting over coffee at PBG campus!

On April 9, the AFC PBSC Chapter hosted a wonderful coffee break gathering at the Palm Beach Gardens Campus. It was a great opportunity to step away for a moment, connect with colleagues, share ideas, and strengthen our sense of community.

Moments like these reinforce the collaborative culture that supports student success and institutional excellence at Palm Beach State College.

We look forward to continuing these gatherings across other PBSC campuses and expanding opportunities for connection and engagement.

The AFC PBSC Chapter at Palm Beach State College was proud to participate in the 2026 AFC Leadership Summit hosted by the Association of Florida Colleges this week in Ocala, Florida.

Representing our chapter were current President Marwan Abdulmalek and Past President Jose Ortiz, who joined colleagues from colleges across the state for several days of leadership development, networking, and collaboration.

We are also proud to share that the AFC PBSC Chapter was recognized as a Silver Chapter this year—a reflection of the dedication, engagement, and impact of our members at Palm Beach State College.

Congratulations to our chapter leaders and members who continue to strengthen our professional community!

🌟 AFC Success Summit 2025 – PBSC Represented with Pride! 🌟

From November 12–14, our AFC PBSC Chapter had the honor of attending the AFC Success Summit in Orlando, FL, where our chapter leadership proudly represented Palm Beach State College alongside colleagues from across the Great 28 of the Florida College System.

We were also excited to support a meaningful statewide service project. Thanks to the generosity of our PBSC family, we delivered patches for the Gary Sinise Snowball Express, a program that honors children and families of fallen military and first responder heroes. This initiative was coordinated by our wonderful PBSC AFC Chapter retiree, Sandi Barrett. 💙🇺🇸

A huge thank-you to our PBSC presenters who shared their expertise at the Summit: Dr. Roger Yohe, Angela Harrington, and Dr. Gokarna Gharti Chhetri

The Summit gave us the chance to connect, learn, and exchange ideas with outstanding professionals from across the state—strengthening the collaboration that makes the Florida College System so exceptional.

🎃👻 Trunk or Treat Fun at PBSC Lake Worth Campus! 👻🎃

Our AFC PBSC Chapter had a wonderful time participating in today’s Trunk or Treat family event at the Palm Beach State College Lake Worth campus! 🍬

Chapter leaders joined in the festivities, decorating trunks and handing out candy to the children of our Lake Worth community. It was a great afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and community spirit. 💛🖤

We’re always proud to take part in events that bring our students, staff, and local families together. Celebrating the season and the strong sense of community that makes PBSC so special!
