Did you know that you must reapply for federal student aid annually? The 2026-2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is open now and easier than ever to complete!

As a reminder, if you plan to utilize federal aid (Pell Grant, Direct Student Loans, Parent PLUS Loans, or Federal Work-Study) for the 2026-27 academic year, you must re-apply. Simply log in to your Federal Student Aid (FSA) account using your FSA ID and password at fafsa.gov to start your application.

Whether your student is looking to stay on track, get ahead, or create more flexibility in their academic schedule, summer courses can help them reach their goals. With online and in-person options available, students can earn credits, lighten their fall course load, and work toward improving their GPA, all on a schedule that works for them.

A message from President Jeremy Martin:

For many, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer. However, for nearly 160 years, its true purpose has been to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms that we enjoy every day in the United States.

Florida Southern College is proud of its longstanding tradition of ROTC graduates and alumni who have served with distinction in our nation’s military, including those who gave their lives while serving in uniform. This spring, our community was poignantly reminded of that service and devotion as we honored Major Cody A. Khork ’14.

Today, we join with millions of Americans who mourn loved ones, who remember their bravery and who honor the legacies of the men and women who gave their lives.

Please join me in taking a moment today to observe the true purpose of Memorial Day with heartfelt prayers of gratitude and remembrance.
