Ever been interested in selling eggs? 🥚 To sell in the state of Georgia you have to obtain an egg candling certificate, but don’t worry, you’re in luck!

Come to the Lanier County Extension Office and learn how to candle eggs and receive your egg candling certification.

When: Wednesday, May 27, 2026
Two class times available: 9:00 am OR 1:00 pm

Georgia DNR is holding meetings next week and weekend regarding the current status of CWD in Georgia.
If you are a landowner, farmer, or hunter that has questions please consider attending one of these four meetings.

The first case of Chronic Wasting Disease was detected in Lanier County (near the Berrien County line).
Georgia DNR has implemented a CWD response plan and will soon be taking samples in the immediate area.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has confirmed a hunter-harvested deer sampled for routine surveillance in Lanier County has tested positive for CWD.
