This weather calls for staying inside and curling up with a good book... and checking out a new exhibit from Archives & Special Collections! ✨❄ Drop by the first floor of Martin Library during open hours (check our website for updates!) and explore the history of the book and all the ways it has shaped and been shaped by the people that create, buy, and read them. 📖

The exhibit features pieces from the F&M rare books collections and represents over 600 years of book history. Thank you to a few wonderful student collaborators who helped research and write exhibit labels!

What do books mean to you?

Happy New Year, F&M! ✨
If you'll be heading back to campus soon, a reminder that the libraries are closed this weekend and will reopen on Monday. Starting Tuesday 1/13, the libraries will resume normal semester hours. Check the link in our bio for more details!

In this video, we're showcasing a lovely little New Years artists' book ornament from 2023 made by artist and book maker Stephanie Gibbs. It features excerpts from Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay, "Circles". 🌐More bookish treasures like this live in Archives & Special Collections.
