Dallas College Veterinary Technology Program AVMA accredited and AAHA endorsed Veterinary Technology Program offering on-line and on-campus classes.

Earn your degree and be ready for state and national licensing in as little as two years! The Cedar Valley Campus of Dallas College is the only one of the seven colleges to offer the Veterinary Technology program. The program offers Veterinary Technology classes on-site and via distance-learning. Both program choices are accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Amer

ican Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), which partners with the college to offer the distance learning program. The program operates a 32,000-square-foot teaching facility on the college campus that features a 170-acre stock farm with breeding herds for horses, cattle and goats. Pathways offered:

• Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, available both on-site and via distance learning. The associate degree program can be completed in two years by a full-time student. Program graduates are eligible to take the Texas Examination for Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) and the Veterinary Technician National Examination.

• Small Animal Assisting Certificate

• Large Animal Assisting Certificate

This is not a remote position. The deadline to apply is June 5.

Please note it is DC policy that all DC faculty positions start as "temporary" but can lead to a permanent position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate from an AVMA-accredited school with one of the following degrees: Associate degree or higher in Veterinary Technology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and Licensed in the State of Texas as an LVT or DVM.

Minimum of three years non-teaching, work-related experience, or experience as an instructor in veterinary technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.

Official transcript will be required.

Bilingual or multilingual preferred.​

This is a two-day event made for technicians, by technicians with amazing hands-on labs and lectures led by experienced LVTs. 💙
