Antelope Valley College FYE AVC’s First Year Experience (FYE) program is designed to prepare first-year students for academic New challenges and opportunities are around every corner.

Here at Antelope Valley College, we know that there is nothing like your first year of college. This is an exciting time, but it can be a little frightening at the same time, as we know. That is why we created the First Year Experience (FYE). FYE is a program that is here to help you make a smooth and successful transition to college life. Participating in all of the FYE and other campus activitie

s will help you build a firm foundation of success that will support you during your first year of college. We are here to help you get in college, through to graduation, and beyond to your career. The FYE program aims to support first generation college students that tested at the basic skills level or two levels below and any other traditional recent high school graduates who want to be a part of a program that engages students beyond the classroom. AVC Arts and Humanities Festival to Happen Saturday, April 29

Antelope Valley College Arts and Humanities will host an open house this Saturday, April 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fine Arts Quad of Antelope Valley College Lancaster Campus, 3041 W. Avenue K.

The Arts & Humanities Festival is open to the community. The event will include showcasing student work from our Disciplines: FTV Program, Music Program, Digital Media Program, Dance Program, Fine Art Program, and Theatre Art Program. Special speakers from different Art industries will be present to give industry advice and conduct workshops.

Summer and Fall 2023 Priority Registration Begins Monday, April 10

The Summer and Fall schedule of classes are available now! Priority registration begins Monday, April 10 and Open Registration begins Monday, April 24.

New and continuing students must complete certain steps by March 29 to receive Priority Registration.

Check your myAVC account for your registration date. AVC offers classes in-person, online, or a combination of the two. Learn about the different class formats and get ready for the Summer term and Fall semester now!

Let's Talk! with Anthony Scaramucci on Thursday, April 6 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm

The inaugural speaker series "Let's Talk!" presented by the Civic and Voter Empowerment Committee, will feature guest speaker Anthony Scaramucci to discuss his experience and views on:

- Cryptocurrency, financial markets and the impact of politics on both
- His time in the Trump Administration
- His views on where the Republican Party is headed for the future

Anthony Scaramucci is the founder and managing partner of SkyBridge, a global alternative investment firm, and founder and chairman of SALT, a global thought leadership forum and venture studio. He served on President Donald J. Trump’s 16-person Presidential Transition Team Executive Committee, and in 2017 briefly served as Chief Strategy Officer of the Export-Import (EXIM) Bank and White House Communications Director.

Anthony Scaramucci will appear via Zoom (https://links.avc.edu/letstalk) from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. Attendees may attend virtually or watch in-person in UH 261.
