Antelope Valley College mourns the passing of Nancy Jo Hatfield, a former AVC employee, longtime Athletics volunteer and devoted supporter of Marauder student-athletes.
For more than three decades, Nancy Jo was a familiar and dedicated presence in AVC Athletics. Her connection to the college’s basketball programs began as a volunteer in 1990, and she later became an integral part of the game management team. She served as AVC’s official basketball clock operator until the final few games of the 2025-26 season.
Her extraordinary commitment to AVC Athletics was recognized with her induction into the Antelope Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024.
Nancy Jo believed deeply in AVC and its impact on the community, saying, “AVC will always be a leader in our community and continue to make a difference in people’s lives.”
AVC extends its heartfelt condolences to Nancy Jo’s family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. Her decades of service, steadfast support of Marauder Athletics and genuine care for AVC students and student-athletes leave a lasting legacy at Antelope Valley College.
