AI is changing how we work, how we learn and how we think about economic growth. So what does that mean for higher education?

The University of Wyoming College of Business recently welcomed Tyler Cowen, economist at George Mason University and co-author of Marginal Revolution, for a conversation with our dean, Scott Beaulier.

Their discussion covered everything from the end of the "Great Stagnation" and the future of productivity to how AI may change what universities should be teaching. They also talked about the value of mentorship, being physically present and developing the skills that are harder to replicate with technology.

They also found time for a rapid-fire discussion on economic growth and public policy in the Mountain West.

That’s a wrap on a very busy, but great Career week in the College of Business!

Yesterday was our annual College of Business Career Fair, followed by Meet the Firms today for our accounting and finance students. Both events brought hundreds of students and employers together. Thank you to all of the students who came out, the employers who took the time to be here, and our faculty and staff who helped pull everything together.

It is always especially neat to see so many College of Business alumni back in the building as employers. It’s great to see our former students back helping create those opportunities for the next group of students!

A special visitor stopped by the College of Business today!

Chancey Williams, who is performing tonight at the Cowboy Kickoff Concert, joined Nathan Potter’s Intro to Marketing class to talk about how marketing has shaped his career, built his brand and helped him grow as an artist.

Appreciate you taking the time Chancey. Can't wait to see the show!

Saddle Up was busy today! Our incoming students had the chance to meet with some of our College of Business employer partners and student organizations. The resource fair was designed to introduce them to opportunities to get involved on campus and make some connections that can help set them up for success after graduation.

Thank you to all involved!
